Valjoux is a Swiss watch movement manufacturer that was founded in 1901 by Edmond Capt. The company is known for producing high-quality mechanical watch movements, particularly chronograph movements.

Over the years, Valjoux has produced several famous calibers, including the Valjoux 72, used in the Rolex Daytona, Omega Speedmaster, Breitling Navitimer, Zodiac Sea-Chron, Heuer Carrera and other famous watches.

Valjoux two-digit movement is one of my favorite watch movements and used in used in brands like PATEK PHILIPPE Perpetual Calendar Chronograph Moonphase Ref # 1518 J. Which is a Valjoux 88 based movement. It is widely considered to be one of the most important and influential chronograph movements of the 20th century.

Historically Valjoux 88 is a high-end mechanical chronograph movement developed by Swiss watchmaking company Valjoux (now part of ETA SA). It was first introduced in 1949 and quickly gained a reputation for its precision and durability. The Valjoux 88 features a column-wheel mechanism, which is known for its smooth operation and reliable performance, and a triple calendar complication, displaying the day, date, and month. The movement is also known for its fast-beating frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour, which allows for greater accuracy and a more precise time display. Today, the Valjoux 88 is highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts for its impressive technical specifications and iconic design.

In 2000, Valjoux was acquired by ETA, another Swiss watch movement manufacturer, and the Valjoux movements are now produced under the ETA brand name. Today, Valjoux movements are highly sought after by watch collectors and enthusiasts for their accuracy and reliability.

The Valjoux 7750 is known for its robustness, reliability, and accuracy, and is used by a number of well-known brands, including Omega, Breitling, and IWC.

Valjoux has gone through a number of changes over the years, and is now owned by ETA SA, which is part of the Swatch Group. However, the Valjoux name is still used on some of the movements produced by the company.
