THE BEGINNING

The story of John Hardy jewelry starts in 1975 when young Canadian art student John Hardy moved to the fabled Indonesian island of Bali and began studying local traditional jewelry-making techniques with a master artisan whose ancestors were goldsmiths among the island's former royal courts. As he adapted these techniques to fresh, new designs, Hardy formed the company in 1989.

MOVING TO A NEW DIMENSION

In the early 1990s, John Hardy initiated its first sales relationships with two of the most prestigious department stores in the United States: Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. The seed of the brand began to sprout, and by 1998, John Hardy was poised to move into a new dimension of excellence. In a strategic development, Guy Bedarida, a senior designer of haute joaillerie, joined the company as Head Designer and helped develop the John Hardy workshop and design center in the central highlands of Bali.

it has beautiful white sapphire in the front and Dragon engraving on the back, two necklaces in to one can been worn both ways. it was originally bought from Saks Fifth Ave as a gift when my David Yurman broke but since then i had the David fixed and went back to that one. The necklace is used come with our Namaste Jewelry Pouch and a beautiful white gift box seen in the picture. 

It come with its original leather chain which is 18in long and has a 2 in extension so can fit about a 20in roughly. 

Size is roughly about 43,50 mm long 25,50 mm wide and 6,00 mm thickness. The hand tag is about 17,50 mm long. 

it wights 1.20 oz without the chain and 1.40 oz with the chain. 

The Pendant has been cleaned and ready to be worn. It seems some of the dark outline around the dragon has been washed off during the time, which is part of the character, this is used with some scratches.
