🏛️ Girard‑Perregaux Gyromatic – Short Collector History
The Gyromatic line was introduced by Girard‑Perregaux in the mid‑1950s as a breakthrough in efficient, low‑friction automatic winding. By the 1960s, it had become one of GP’s most successful platforms, known for its slim profile, smooth winding system, and excellent reliability.
During this era, GP expanded the line to include Day‑Date models, offering practical everyday functionality with the refinement of Swiss finishing. These watches were designed for buyers who wanted elegance, accuracy, and durability in a single package.
Today, Gyromatic Day‑Date models are appreciated for their value, reliability, and classic mid‑century design. Clean, serviced examples—especially with original dials—are becoming increasingly difficult to find, making them excellent pieces for both new and seasoned collectors.

This is a beauty. It is very rare to find a watch this old in this condition. Definitely a great watch for first-time collectors or watch lovers. Please look at all the pictures, as they are part of the description.
The watch is working and was serviced by the last owner. This is a highly collectible watch. Very few are left with this rare movement. Sure, to increase in value over time, and be a great addition to your collection.
It includes central seconds and a convenient Day‑Date display. The date has a hacked set by changing the time between 20 and 24 hours. The day changes every 24 hours. A watch that merges elegance and reliability is a watch that will never disappoint.
