Experts Watches Vintage Bonklip Military Watch Bracelet – Stainless Steel Adjustable Ladder Band
The Bonklip-style watch bracelet is a vintage military classic, inspired by historic designs from Gay Frères and JB Champion. Originally introduced in England in the late 1920s, this bracelet is renowned for its ladder-style link design, lightweight construction, and incredible adjustability — a favorite of British Royal Air Force pilots throughout the 1940s and 1950s.
Our Experts Watches Bonklip bracelet captures the heritage of this historic design with improved modern functionality. It features a spring-loaded clasp for secure and intuitive wear, along with quick-release spring bars for easy installation.
Bonklip or "bamboo-style" stainless steel bands are similar to Komfit watch bracelets, which gained popularity among NASA astronauts for their flexibility and easy wear over spacesuits.
The Leonidas CP-2 Chronograph shown in the photo (not included) is an example of a military-issued timepiece commonly paired with Bonklip-style bracelets for Italian helicopter pilots.

🛠️ How to Adjust a Bonklip Bracelet
- After securing the bracelet to your watch, slide your hand through the loop (thumb facing inward).
- Pull the clasp to the desired position on your wrist.
- Fold the excess bracelet length and insert the clasp tab between any two ladder links.
- Press the clasp down to lock it securely in place.
This vintage-style adjustment system is quick, secure, and doesn’t require tools.
